Idco feted with SKOCH Award

It’s the moment of crowning glory for state owned Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Idco). The gold rated corporation has been feted with the prestigious SKOCH Silver Award- 2018. The award is in recognition of Idco’s path breaking app- Automated Post Allotment Application (APPA).

Sanjay Kumar Singh, CMD of Idco who has been spearheading an array of reforms has congratulated the team for their stupendous efforts. On the strength of this revolutionary app and online delivery of land and attendant infrastructure, Idco has earned rare stripes as a government owned entity both within and outside of Odisha.

Idco’s achievements have been creditable in the areas of new initiatives, delivery of better output processes and setting new benchmarks. On behalf of Idco CMD, the SKOCH Award was received by its manager Manas Mohanty and Saswat Pattnaik, expert at Idco’s Project Monitoring Unit (PMU) cell at an elaborate ceremony in New Delhi, coinciding with the 52nd SKOCH Summit.

Idco had rolled out APPA on January 27, 2016 to give a further boost to the state’s Ease of Doing Business index.

This application deals with end-to-end process handling of post allotment activities of Idco like generation of demand notice, online payment, application tracking and processing activities.

Moreover, this application enables industrial units to process all post allotment related issues in the online system removing all physical interfaces between the units and Idco, thus reducing the burden on the both.

Earlier, APAA has also been honoured with Golden Peacock Innovative Product/Service Award for the year 2018, which was conferred to Idco in a function at Dubai in April, 2018.
